Common Grounds is a non-profit community coffee house that is missionally motivated to provide a ‘third place in the Germantown and Mt. Airy Communities. Compelled by the vision to love and serve our community, Common Grounds provides a place to belong for people in the community, a full-scale coffee-shop and an arts and entertainment venue.

Serving our Community
Common Grounds seeks the welfare of our neighborhood and city. Our primary form of community service is simply our presence. We are not just a coffee shop, but a place to belong. A refuge from the daily struggles of life, where you can come in, be listened to, valued, catch up with some friends, work, study or just hang out. We also provide Arts and Entertainment at Common Grounds for artist to display and practice their craft and ability. We ask our artists connected with CG to find a way to serve the community through their arts as well. In addition we host and partner with select community organizations whose vision is similar to ours to serve and love our community.
Relationships
We value relationships very highly at Common Grounds. We don’t view our guests as just customers, but as guests of honor. We want you to feel valued when you enter the doors of CG. At Common Grounds transactions don’t just take place, relationships take place.The
Arts
The Arts are how we serve our community, listen to our community and build relationships. This happens by providing a venue for arts and music related events for artists and guests. Also be encouraging our artists to give back to the community through their gifts.
Third Place
Providing a ‘third place’ is how we serve our community and encourage relationships. Third places are places where life happens, they are not home, not work, but the place you always find yourself at.
